Children’s Hunger Alliance
How They Help
How do your programs or services help the community?
Children’s Hunger Alliance directly feeds children, increases access to nutritious food, and educates children about healthy food choices and physical activity. More than 25% of Ohio households with children reported not being able to afford enough food at least one time in the past year. Children who are not properly nourished (who do not get enough food or the right kinds of food) are more likely to miss school and more likely to do poorly on tests. Children’s Hunger Alliance helps keep kids in Ohio fed so they are healthy and able to succeed in school.

This program helps children who normally can only depend on receiving meals during school.

Children’s Hunger Alliance, along with American Dairy Association Mideast, and Ohio Action for Healthy Kids, created this is a five-year anti-obesity initiative that targets middle school students.
